Philosophy Workshop – Chakras

Chakra Theory Workshop
Are the chakras real?
When did their use gain popularity within yogic practices?
Who assigned their colours, bija mantras and organ associations?
The answers may not be what you think.
In this theory workshop on the history of the chakras, we’ll explore what evidence there is, how different schools of thought approach the subtle body and how relevant the chakra is for us as modern yoga practitioners.
The workshop will also include practical tips on how to theme yoga classes around the chakras, and what to place emphasis on when sequencing a class.
All participants will receive a free audio recording of the Jivamukti Chakra Tuning class taught by Sandy King.

Go behind the scenes and explore yoga beyond the physical.

Dive deeply into your practice with Yoga Philosophy Workshops. Each month we explore a different topic from yoga philosophy, including how to incorporate into your life, practice and teaching.

My aim is to provide ongoing yoga education in an affordable, accessible, practical and fun way for teachers and students of yoga, drawing upon my experience teaching full-time as an Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, for over 10 years.

The classes will not include āsana, but are instead presented in a conversational lecture format and depending on the topic, may include some practices. Each session will conclude with Q&A.
